Reviews Of Some Computer Books On My Bookshelf

I don’t write book reviews often – this is just my first time since I was an anarchist school boy. And I defiantly would not write reviews at the most popular place – Amazon.com. Why spend even a moment of your time writing for Amazon for free when they use peoples book reviews to sell books for a profit? Will they give you a commission if someone buys a book after reading your review? No, I don’t think so! If im going to write for free then I want to make sure it is really free and not exploited, hence I’ve spent a while to review the IT books that are on my bookshelf and publish the article here on my blog.

Microsoft Only Partnering With Commercial Companies For OpenXML & Open Document Format (ODF)?

Video Card / Video Config On Linux – Editing xorg.conf the X11 Configuration File

The xorg.conf file open for viewing after the problem was fixedA simple restart of my Ubuntu Linux development server went drastically wrong when the system failed to start back up again. It was hanging on the Kubuntu splash screen after seeming to go through a regular error free boot. After a few restarts to elimiate any chance it was just being weird, the same thing kept happening. What was going wrong?

Year Of The Rat – Wars!

Any excited and capable rat catchers should really have an auspicious year, this Chinese year of the rat. There are millions upon millions of rats out there just waiting to be caught – a catcher on Jalan Ipoh alone should easily make a few 1000 ringgit a day, thanks to the huge volumes of food waste and spit that the Chinese stalls deposit all over the pavements and in the drains.

Microsoft In Bid To Buy Yahoo! – Microhoo?

Microsoft has made a £22.4bn cash and stock bid for struggling internet firm Yahoo offering to buy the company for £15.50 per share.

Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer said…

“Together we can offer an increasingly exciting set of solutions for consumers, publishers and advertisers.”

“Microsoft believes that the combination of its software expertise with Yahoo’s branding, will allow it to emerge as a strong rival for Google.”
