New Hope For More Hastle Free Air Travel With Airport Liquid Scanners
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009
It’s annoying and inconvenient that travelers can’t take liquids on-board aircraft. So much so that I have even traveled overland instead of flying just so I can carry some back to Malaysia!
Aside from the annoyances at the airport and the inconveniences I often wonder what happens to all of the confiscated items? Is it all wasted? Did the two ladies at Phuket airport take back my beers for their husbands to enjoy? What about all of the lighters and match boxes? I’ve seen boxes full of them at several airports, including pricey Zippo lighers! You can’t help but feel robbed and stressed after handing over items never to be seen again to security officers.
Pubs, Bars And Clubs In Kuala Lumpur
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009
This blog post “Pubs, Bars And Clubs In Kuala Lumpur” is a useful list of places where one can get drunk in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The list is organized by area and only includes bars, pubs and clubs in central KL.
If you can think of a good drinking hangout then please post your comment to add it to the list!
Jalan Ceylon:
This is the major growth area for the nightlife scene in KL and is situated near to Bukit Bintang (shopping hub mixed with dodgy “massage parlours”) and Jalan Alor (most famous Chinese food street). A few years ago it was a pretty desolate street. Now it has become the top drinking destination with new bars and clubs opening frequently.

Wake Up YB. Dato’ Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen – Leave Frasers Hill Alone
Friday, May 22nd, 2009
For a woman who, according to her blog is qualified in Medicine (Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery from the University of Malaya and a Diploma in Reproductive Medicine from the John Hopkins University, U.S.A) you might wonder what expertise YB. Dato’ Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen is drawing from when she talks of developing Fraser’s Hill.
So little does YB. Dato’ Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen seem to know about conservation in her native land of Malaysia that she seems to think developing Fraser’s Hill could be a bright idea. Firstly I’d love to explain to her that development is generally an opposing factor to conservation and that what Fraser’s Hill (and many other places in Malaysia) need is conservation.
Japanese Super GT Championship 2009 Malaysia Ticket Prices
Wednesday, May 20th, 2009
A unique event combining mean machines and gorgeous GT queens; bringing a truly Japanese carnival-like atmosphere and motor racing fiesta to the circuit; Malaysia will host Round 4 of the 2009 championship, which will also feature some of the best regional races as the supporting events.
To be held from June 19 to 21, Sepang hosts the only international round of the hugely popular championship, which provides a sexy combination of stylish sports cars and gorgeous Japanese grid girls. The series came to Malaysia in 2000; but SIC was made an official race as one of the championship rounds in 2002.
Established in 1994 by the Japanese Automobile Federation, the Super GT series is a grand touring car race series promoted by the GT-Association (GT-A) and recognized by the FIA. Races are held as part of a yearly series and take place on well known Japanese race tracks like Twin Ring Motegi, Fuji Speedway, and Suzuka Circuit.
SuperGT is one of the favourite race for our spectator, which mainly are Malaysian. SIC will try to find ways to make it more affordable and fun,” said Chief Executive Officer Razlan Razali.
Being it the only race outside of Japan, we are proud to organize this prestigious race.
Drink Driving Guidelines
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009
“I’m only going down the road.’”
A large proportion of all drink drive crashes occur within three miles of the start of the journey.
According to the UK department for transport (DFT):
- If you drive at twice the legal alcohol limit you are at least 30 times more likely to cause a road crash, than a driver who hasn’t been drinking.
- The only safe option is not to drink alcohol if you plan to drive, and never offer an alcoholic drink to someone else who is intending to drive.
