Hi Ali,

Head North to Surat Thani. You will pass through Nakhon Si Thammarat state and you have a choice of wither taking highway number 4 past Phattalung (fastest route) or taking the scenic coastal route 408. You can get on highway 4 as soon as you reach Hat Yai after crossing the border. I'd recommend not stopping in Phattalung - it's not a great town. Go all the way up to Surat Thani and stay there. Ferries leave for Koh Samui from DON SAK - but watch out - it's not the town itself but several KM EAST of Don Sak.

Yes It's safe to travel, just drive carefully and consider not driving in the rain as the roads become very slippy. Where possible in the Southern States stop and say hi to locals and buy from them. The people are very friendly and have been affected by a bad press about the insurgency which has cut their supply of tourist cash. People will be happy to see tourists and it shows you care. If cutting through states on the East Coast make sure you always approach road blocks slowly and navigate them slowly. Don't scare the crap out of the army by speeding through or they may take you out :)

How could you customise wp_list_categories to output terms as text. I do not want the terms to be hyperlinked.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Thank you. I googled this and got a bunch of overly complex answers. This one worked for me.

Also, if you're creating users (I am a luddite and still use useradd) command to force bash shell (and -m to create home dir) is
useradd -c "Joe User" -m -s /bin/bash joeuser
