The Python Charging Up On A Log

The Python Charging Up On A Log

It’s taken a few days to upload these photos and videos thanks to Malaysias super fast broadband speeds.  Anyway, finally here they are.  The Python started of a bit cold and slow then finally made a snail paced dash for it under some logs and then into some bushes.  Maybe something else was already living under the log and forced him out of there - but I wasn’t about to turn over the log in case it was a King Cobra :)

Video Part 1:

In this first video you can see the little Gecko make it’s move for freedom first - it wasn’t too happy about sharing a tub with what could eventually become the worlds longest Snake! The Python was in a defensive ball and a bit cool at first.

Gecko VS Python

Gecko VS Python

Here is a photo showing the Geckos survival technique when in with the Python - It jumped onto the back of the Pythons head and covered it’s eyes with it’s feet!  Gecko 1 - Python 0!  Luckily the Python was never interested in eating the Gecko - Pythons prefer warm blooded prey - especially mammals.

Video Part 4:

The baby Python finally moves off and into cover.

Hi Dan
Just to let you know I watched your (monty?) python videos. I would have called him/her ‘Monty’!!! Great stuff.
